The opening of Sale of Chinese Oil Paintings & Sculpture in the 2006 spring sale signifies our operation in diversified ways as well as deepening reflection on Chinese art market. In the 2008 spring sale, we presented the Sale of Contemporary Chinese Sculpture in cooperation with China Sculpture Institute with a total sale record of 10.67 million yuan. It is the first time that a national art institution have cooperated with an auction house in China's history. In the 2009 autumn sale, Liu Haisu's La Basilique du Sacre-Coeur was sold for an outstanding price of 9.072 million yuan, setting a record for Liu's works. In the 2010 spring sale, Li Shan's Reading Series: There are probably 68 Fish climbed to 7.616 million yuan. In the autumn sale, Yan Wenliang's Raven and Boat reached 6.944 million yuan, a new record for Yan's works. In the 2011 spring sale, the total volume of the sale session broke 100 million yuan, among which Ye Yongqing's The Escaped Confusion was sold for 6.67 million yuan.
